Marcus Weiler was born in Cologne. During his studies at the Filmakademie Ludwigsburg, he created award-winning short films such as Olivia Goes Shopping and Always Crashing in the Same Car.

With his feature film debut Ein anderer Mann in 2004, Weiler took over the series K3 – Kripo Hamburg. This was followed by more than 50 films and series, including Tatort, Der Kommissar und das Meer, Marie Brand, Mordshunger, Das Duo, among others.

Marcus Weiler lives in Berlin.
